Breakfast Ideas

Following are some of my favorite breakfasts.  All contain protein, which for me, is a necessity in order to avoid being hungry before lunch time.

Yogurt, Fruit & Cereal
1/2 of a 6-ounce container of Fage 0% fat-free yogurt
1/2 of a large Fuji apple, chopped
1 tablespoon of brown sugar, not packed
1/4 cup Post Selects Blueberry Morning cereal

English Muffin & Peanut Butter
1 Thomas double-fiber honey wheat English muffin, toasted
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/2 large banana, sliced

Egg & Bagel
1 Western Alternative onion bagel, toasted
1 ounce Weight Watchers cream cheese
1 hard-boiled egg
1 peach, plum or nectarine

Salmon & Bagel Brunch
1 Western Alternative onion bagel, toasted
1 ounce Weight Watchers cream cheese
2 ounces smoked salmon
1/2 tablespoon capers
1/2 cup fresh orange juice mixed with
1-1/2 cups Perrier served over ice with
1 lime wedge

Chocolate Muffins & Milk
2 Deep Chocolate Vitamuffins
1 cup Skim Plus Milk

Mediterranean Egg Scramble
1 egg plus 1 egg white beaten until frothy and scrambled over medium low heat
     topped with two or more of the following cooked vegetables:
          spinach
          artichoke hearts
          mushrooms
          roasted red peppers
     and 1/2 ounce goat cheese
     and a sprinkle of fresh oregano and/or thyme
1/2 pita bread
